About the role

The Inside Sales Representative position role identifies new sales opportunities within the memberships of the Channel Partner Programs. The individual will grow existing account relationships by sourcing new sales opportunities within the company’s largest customers. Relationships are developed by understanding TA customers’ needs, generating interest, applying working knowledge to provide solutions, and closing program sales targeted toward small to medium fleets. The Inside Sales Representative works in tandem with the Account Manager on identifying large opportunities to develop and close.

Key Responsibilities

  • Focuses on growing the fuel, truck maintenance, and tire sales within the Channel Partner memberships
  • Analyzes market segmentation accounts to identify possible revenue growth opportunities
  • Contacts current customers of TA’s Channel Partner Programs to educate them on the benefits of their program while developing long term relationships
  • Analyzes data to optimize sales decisions and potential business deals for incremental financial gain
  • Monitors customers and maintains thorough records of sales, revenue, etc.
  • Develops relationships with customers and internal teammates to maximize sales and margin potential
  • Develops pricing and terms for current and new customers
  • Consults with current customers to design innovative solutions
  • Negotiates creative pricing solutions to resolve customer issues
  • Records new business opportunities in Salesforce for follow up and expanded share of wallet opportunities
  • Update company information in Salesforce and ABS systems
  • Reports daily/weekly/monthly/quarterly basis on development of prospects and current customers

Essential Education, experience and requirements:

  • .Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations, Analytics or Marketing preferred
  • Entry / Mid-Level experience of Sales and/or Truck Service experience
  • Comprehensive knowledge of truck maintenance and tire services
  • Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills
  • Excellent analytical and research skills
  • Good organizational skills and the ability to effectively prioritize tasks
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Power Point
  • Experience with CRM software (e.g. Salesforce)
  • Understanding of sales performance metrics
  • Ability to function independently, as well as working effectively in a team environment
  • Proficient in computer operation and business/sales software

Working Conditions / Physical Requirements

  • Primarily work in an office setting during normal business hours
  • Minimal travel required via automobile and/or airplane to attend the occasional conference, seminars, and sales meetings
  • Requires extensive sitting, viewing, and using computer equipment, keyboarding, listening, speaking with telephone equipment, walking, and occasionally lifting 10-40lbs
  • No exposure to adverse working conditions
