
Embedded SW Developer (f/m/div.)
Job Description
Your contribution to something big:
- You develop software components for our next-generation acceleration and inertial sensors used in Airbag control units.
- You work across the full V-model - from requirements engineering and architecture to coding, SIL/HIL testing, and component release.
- You collaborate in an international agile team with colleagues in Germany, India and other locations worldwide, using state-of-the-art tools and development methods.
- Your work supports compliance with key industry standards such as functional safety (ISO 26262) and cybersecurity (ISO 21434)
- You will lead and guide software engineers by setting goals, planning and prioritizing work, tracking progress, and translating objectives into well‑defined tasks
What distinguishes you:
Education
- Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a comparable field.
Experience
- Experience leading software engineers, with a strong background in planning and coordinating work, setting goals, tracking delivery, and breaking down complex initiatives into executable tasks.
- Experience in embedded automotive software development, ideally in safety-critical or hardware-dependent environments.
- Familiarity with microcontroller drivers, communication buses (e.g., SPI), sensor drivers, or real-time embedded functions.
Know-how
- Strong skills in C programming and/or C++.
- Knowledge of model-based development (e.g., UML, SysML).
- Preferably experience with tools such as IBM Doors NextGen, Rational Team Concert, Rhapsody, or similar.
Languages
- Very good English communication skills;
- German is an advantage.
Working Style & Methods
- You enjoy working in international agile teams and feel comfortable collaborating across time zones (USA, Germany, India, China, Japan).
- Occasional business travel to partner locations in Germany and India may be required.
