What will you do?
The production of corrugated cardboard and its processing into packaging is a very specific process. The start of this process begins with our corrugated cardboard machine, where sheets of corrugated cardboard are made. These sheets are then processed into boxes in the Processing department by cutting, folding, printing, and die-cutting. And all of this is, of course, done according to specific designs, qualities, and sizes that are unique to each customer.
As a Production Team Leader (3-shifts) in the Converting department, you are responsible for ensuring the best team performance and being the point of contact for the team. The main goal is to achieve maximum machine output according to the schedule, together with your team of approximately 25 employees. Safety, quality, and professionalism are the driving pillars. You will be responsible for the different parts of the production process, which consists of multiple machine lines. Additionally, you will be vigilant about opportunities to optimize the process and come up with improvement proposals, ensuring that we produce the best packaging.
Other tasks within your scope of responsibilities include:
- Safety comes first for us! Above all, always ensure the physical and mental safety of the production team.
- Ensure qualitative and quantitative operational availability and deployment of the production team.
- Responsible for performance reviews, conducting recruitment and selection interviews, and providing absenteeism guidance.
- Coaching, motivating, and directing employees.
- Monitoring compliance with occupational health and safety, environmental, and quality management systems, as well as other company and safety regulations.
- Ensuring the quality of the products produced in accordance with specifications and quality assurance procedures.
- Taking responsibility for the thorough handling and analysis of production complaints, implementing preventive measures, and providing appropriate information and instructions to employees.
- Monitoring, directing, and reporting on the agreed KPIs, including safety, quality, yield, efficiency, waste, and absenteeism.
- Ensuring the correct technical availability of machines and associated equipment and installations.
- Proposing improvements to the production process in areas such as safety, quality, productivity, and labor efficiency.
- Ensuring a correct handover to the next shift.

- MBO-4/HBO work and thinking level;
- At least 5 years of relevant work experience in a production environment;

- Proficiency in both Dutch and English;
- You are a team player with a great deal of enthusiasm;
- You are willing to work in a 3-shift system.
