Job Description

Procurement Management Lead

Country: Sweden

Are you an experienced procurement professional with a passion for leading teams, optimizing sourcing, and driving operational excellence?

We are looking for a Procurement Management Lead in the Nordics to become an integral part of our sourcing team. As Procurement Management Lead, you will be a key player in our Sourcing team, combining hands-on procurement execution with strategic sourcing development and functional leadership. You will not have direct personnel responsibility, but you will take ownership of the procurement team’s operational excellence, KPI performance and key deliverables.

In this role, you will support and coordinate the work of Procurement Managers, ensure consistent ways of working, drive process improvements, follow up on team performance, and help secure high-quality delivery across procurement activities.

You will work closely with the Third Party Risk Management Lead and cross-functional stakeholders to align sourcing and risk management efforts, ensuring a unified approach to supplier management across the Bank.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Functional and Operational Leadership: Act as the functional lead for the Procurement Managers. Provide day-to-day direction, structure, prioritisation and support to ensure strong team delivery, high-quality execution and alignment with sourcing priorities.
  • Procurement Strategy Development: Develop and execute procurement strategies aligned with the company's goals and objectives. Collaborate with key stakeholders to identify procurement needs and requirements, ensuring alignment with the overall sourcing and business strategy.
  • Vendor Relationship Management: Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure the availability of quality goods and services.
  • Supplier Selection and Negotiation: Oversee supplier selection and evaluation processes, ensuring the identification of reliable and cost-effective vendors. Lead contract negotiations to secure favourable terms and conditions that align with company policies.
  • Negotiation and Contract Management: Lead negotiations with suppliers to secure favorable pricing and contract terms. Prepare, review, and execute procurement contracts while adhering to legal and company policies.
  • Procurement Process Optimization: Continuously review and improve procurement processes to enhance efficiency, reduce lead times, and minimize costs. Implement best practices, automation, and digital tools to streamline procurement workflows.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with procurement activities, such as supply chain disruptions, pricing fluctuations, and supplier reliability.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting: Analyse procurement data, generate regular reports, and provide insights to support data-driven decision-making.
  • Compliance and Ethics: Ensure strict adherence to all relevant regulations, industry standards, and company policies throughout the procurement process. Promote ethical conduct and sustainability practices within the supply chain.
  • Operational Excellence and Deliverables: Own and drive the procurement team’s operational rhythm, ensuring clear priorities, timely delivery, process quality and continuous improvement across procurement activities.
  • KPI Ownership and Performance Follow-up: Own, monitor and report on procurement KPIs, including risk management, cost savings, spend analysis, business partner satisfaction, contract renewal and exit management, supplier performance, procurement cycle time and contract compliance. Use KPI insights to create transparency, identify improvement areas and drive performance across the procurement function.

Your background:

Experience:

  • Proven experience of 5+ years in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain management, with a successful track record in team leadership.
  • Extensive experience and knowledge of procurement regulations, contract law, and supply chain best practices.
  • Experience with data analytics tools such as Power BI.
  • Experience with Purchase-to-pay lifecycle, accounting, contract management, purchase order, and negotiation systems.
  • Preferably experience with leading or delivering projects.

We offer:

  • An opportunity to work in a large, high-performing international company, in a dynamic environment that is constantly changing.
  • A corporate culture that is professional and dynamic, yet informal. Bureaucracy is kept to a minimum, as we expect our skilled employees to make long-lasting and impactful decisions to shape our future.
  • Highly competent, dedicated, and friendly co-workers with strong collaboration across the Nordics.

This position can be based in Solna, Sweden or Lysaker, Norway.
