Essential Functions:
- Oversees and coordinates daily dock operations to maintain efficient, accurate, and continuous flow of incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Directs workflow and assigns resources in real time, adjusting staffing and priorities to meet operational demands and delivery timelines.
- Manages the intake and prioritization of freight, including time-sensitive, temperature-controlled, and high-priority shipments.
- Serves as a central point of communication with internal departments, vendors, and transportation teams to ensure visibility, resolve issues, and support timely delivery.
- Identifies and resolves operational exceptions, including discrepancies, returns, and problem shipments, to minimize disruption to dock flow.
- Maintains a safe, organized, and compliant dock environment, ensuring adherence to safety standards and operational best practices.
- Provides on-floor leadership and oversight, reinforcing productivity, accountability, and consistent work output across shifts.
Education Requirement:
Associate's Degree or equivalent experience, required.
Experience:
Five years of Shipping and Receiving experience, required.
