Job Description
Centrex Technical Sales is seeking an organized and motivated general warehouse associate to join our team. The warehouse associate will be responsible for assisting the Warehouse Manager and other members within the warehouse team in ensuring inventory is processed, organized, and stored. The warehouse assistant will assist in helping with packaging and prepare orders for delivery. The ideal candidate is comfortable working on their feet, focused on meeting quotas, and experienced in inventory software and databases. The warehouse associate will also make deliveries via truck or flatbed, operate heavy machinery, and drive equipment, so a candidate with experience and a valid driver’s license is required.
Inventory Management
Receive, sort, and organize incoming stock, storing it in designated locations.
Process inventory for delivery, ensuring accuracy.
Move inventory and materials throughout the facility.
Stack and organize large bulk items.
Update inventory logs and documentation.
Report damaged or missing inventory to supervisors.
Order Fulfillment and Delivery
Package items and label them correctly for shipment.
Prepare orders for delivery.
Deliver orders to customers in a safe, efficient, and professional manner.
Move materials from facilities to workstations, pick-up locations, or other locations.
Equipment Operation and Safety:
Operate heavy machinery, such as forklifts, to move and store inventory (if qualified).
Wear appropriate safety gear at all times.
Ensure the workspace is free of debris and remove safety hazards from aisles.
General Warehouse Duties
Remove inventory from trucks or shipping and deliver it to the proper locations.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Work as an active team member to achieve team goals.
Education and Certifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
Valid driver's license.
License or certification to operate heavy machinery (e.g., forklift) as required by state regulations.
Physical Abilities
Ability to stand, sit, move, squat, walk, and climb throughout the shift.
Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds or more.
Work Schedule and Environment
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Flexibility to work evenings and occasional weekends.
Skills and Competencies
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Familiarity with inventory software and the ability to input data accurately.
Ability to work independently.
Strong attention to detail and ability to monitor inventory quality.
Highly organized with efficient storage practices.
Compliance and Safety
Ability to follow all health and safety procedures and regulations as mandated by the organization and state.
