RN Clinical Education Coordinator

Fulltime day shift Monday-Friday

 

The Main PACU is a 28-bay unit providing 24/7 specialized peri-anesthesia care to patients across the lifespan and spectrum of acuity, 365 days a year. Vigilant pre and post-operative care is provided to inpatients and outpatients undergoing scheduled or emergency surgery by more than 20 surgical and procedural services. This team’s versatility serves patients treated by a broad array of surgical and medical specialties, providing a variety of clinical experiences for the life-long learner. Nurses must be competent in titration of vasopressors, airway management, care of ventilated patients, blood product administration and fluid resuscitation. 

 

Under general supervision provides leadership, expertise and services within the Department of Nursing in the areas of clinical education, program management and professional development. Develops and manages a broad variety of educational services that facilitate the delivery of high quality care and contribute to the professional development of staff. Enhances the professional image of the Department of Nursing by marketing high quality educational offerings internally and externally, collaborating with professional peers in the community, and actively participating in community outreach programs. 



Work Experience
  • Master’s degree in Nursing or related field is required. Course work in education is preferred.
  • Current license to practice nursing in the State of Maryland is required.
  • Five years clinical experience in nursing, which includes recent experience in an acute care setting is required. One year in a role performing staff education is required. ICU and PACU experience is preferred.
