JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40

Work Shift: (Monday thru Friday) Can start as early as 6:30 am and work 8 hours daily.

Summary of the Job:
Responsible for monitoring all A/R staff activities to ensure accurate, complete and timing filing and follow-up.  Responsible for working with the payer to resolve repetitive issues regarding denials or contract compliance.  Responsible for determining appropriate response or corrective action to denials, including assistance needed from other departments or staff; analyzing data collected and identifying opportunities to reduce denials and improve the revenue cycle. Responsible for reporting trends to supervisor.  Responsible for overseeing training of all new employees in assigned area.

Minimum Qualifications:

Must be a High School graduate or equivalent. Minimum 6 months of demonstrated experience in billing and A/R management for all payors. Detailed oriented; ability to apply critical thinking and problem-solving skills; independently handle complex issues with minimal supervisor; prioritize, organize and monitor multiple tasks; communicate clearly and concisely, orally and written; exercise sound judgment with established guidelines; maintain cooperative working relationships with other departments; use Microsoft Office is performance of duties and responsibilities.
 
Preferred Qualifications:

AAHAM Certification preferred but not required.
 
Physical Demands:  
   
Must possess good physical health.  Some requirements include but are not limited to standing, sitting or walking for long periods of time.  Lifting at least 20 pounds is required.

Constant (67%-100%) - seeing
Frequently (34%-66%)– talking, hearing
Occasionally (1%-33%)- lifting, carrying, stooping, reaching, handling/feeling
