
HSSE engineer
Job Description
The HSSE Engineer is responsible for supporting the implementation, and monitoring of health, safety, security, and environmental within site construction and operational activities. You ensure that all actives performed to comply with HSSE regulations and standards, contributing to a safe and sustainable work environment.
Responsibilities
- Implement and maintain HSSE programs, standards and policies.
- Conduct or participate in detailed risk assessments and hazard analyses, identifying potential risks and implementing mitigation strategies.
- Support or lead investigations into HSSE incidents and near-misses, performing root cause analysis and recommending corrective actions.
- Monitor compliance with HSSE regulations and standards in site construction and operational activities.
- Develop HSSE documentation, including risk assessments, safety plans, and regulatory compliance reports.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in HSSE practices, contributing to the overall safety and efficiency of engineering and operational processes.
- Bachelor’s degree in occupational health and safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5 - 10 years of experience as an HSSE engineering role, preferably within oil and gas industry or a similarly regulated sector.
