Job Title: Press Robot Technician
Starting Pay Rate: $28.00 (after 3 months $28.50, after 6 months $29.00)
Schedule: Sunday-Thursday 11:00pm-7am, with mandatory overtime as needed
Reports To: Press Supervisor
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Press Robot Technician to join our team. This role is primarily responsible for testing, programming, and maintaining robotic systems within the press department, while supporting production needs in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities:
Test and program robotic systems to ensure proper operation and efficiency
Change out robot arms at a height of approximately 55 inches (arms vary in size and weight up to 60 lbs.)
Perform frequent robot arm changeovers (7 arms per unit, approximately 18 times per week)
Assist with loading tasks, including lifting and positioning bumpers up to 36 lbs. at heights up to 7 feet
Monitor robot performance and identify issues affecting production
Work collaboratively with maintenance and production teams to support operations
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area while following all safety and quality standards
Ability to lead and train others as this position is also the team leader for the press line
Other duties as assigned
Shift is 8 hours. May work overtime up to 10–12 hours. Two 10-minute breaks per shift and a 20-minute meal break. Employees are paid for the entire time they are clocked in and do not clock out for breaks if taken on campus.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED required
Must be able to communicate in English
Must be able to demonstrate understanding of health and safety compliance training programs and departmental work instructions that are written in English
Mechanical aptitude and basic understanding of robotic systems, required
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Ability to work in a team environment
Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing setting
Physical Demands:
Regularly required to stand, walk, use hands, and reach with arms
Frequent pushing, pulling, and lifting above head and below shoulder level
Ability to carry bumpers weighing up to 50 lbs. for distances of 15–25 feet
Frequent lifting and handling of robot arms weighing up to 60 lbs.
Work Environment:
Regular exposure to moving mechanical parts
Frequent exposure to wet and/or humid conditions and fumes or airborne particles
Occasional exposure to toxic or caustic chemicals and vibration
Work environment is typically loud
