Position Summary / Objective

The Account Executive is responsible for identifying, qualifying, and closing new business opportunities in live event production—including audio, lighting, video, LED solutions, and full-scale production services. This front-line sales role focuses on prospecting, inbound lead conversion, and driving revenue growth through new client acquisition.

The Account Executive is a proactive, consultative seller with a hunter mentality and strong knowledge of event production technologies. This role manages the full sales cycle from outreach to contract execution, develops compelling proposals, and ensures a smooth transition to operations teams for successful project delivery.

Role Responsibilities

The following duties represent the primary responsibilities of the role. This list is not exhaustive. The individual in this position will perform additional tasks as assigned, adhere to all provisions of the Employee Handbook, and participate in company initiatives and projects.

Sales and Business Development

  • Identify and secure new business opportunities.
  • Strategically grow existing client relationships.
  • Build and manage the full sales funnel process.
  • Research prospective customers using available tools and resources.
  • Meet quarterly and annual sales targets.

Client Relationship Management

  • Foster strong relationships with clients and prospective clients in the market.
  • Build relationships through networking events, online meetings, and social media engagement.
  • Prepare responses to RFPs in collaboration with Project Management and Technical Product Managers.
  • Read and comprehend contract scopes, terms, and conditions.

Administrative and Operational Support

  • Plan and estimate event costs and margins in alignment with company guidelines and in consultation with management.
  • Enter and maintain accurate CRM data for customers, leads, and opportunities.
  • Interpret financial information and support reporting needs.

Work Environment
This position operates in a professional office environment as well as indoor and outdoor event venues. The role involves frequent movement throughout office and venue spaces and may require working in environments with varying temperatures, from extreme heat to extreme cold.

Physical Demands
The individual in this role must remain stationary approximately 50% of the time and move about office and venue environments as needed. The role requires the ability to climb stairs and lift up to 15 lbs regularly, up to 25 lbs frequently, and up to 50 lbs occasionally.

Position Type / Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Standard work hours follow a typical workday schedule, with occasional evening and weekend work required during high-volume periods. Breaks and lunches comply with local, state, and federal laws. 

Travel
This position requires up to 25% travel, primarily within the United States, including regular overnight stays.

Required

  • 5+ years of experience in at least one of the Sound, Lighting, or Video industries.
  • Project Management experience.
  • Experience preparing and interpreting financial reports.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and ability to develop creative solutions.
  • Comfortable initiating contact with new people; able to handle both wins and losses professionally.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to multitask under deadlines.
  • Strong computer skills, including CRM systems and sales tools.
  • Ability to follow established company policies and recommend process improvements.
  • Demonstrates passion, humility, integrity, a positive attitude, and a mission-driven mindset.
  • Coachable, self-directed, and eager to grow their skill set.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
