Summary of Position
The Director of Compliance will play a critical role in fostering a culture of integrity, accountability, and continuous improvement across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Compliance Program Leadership
- Design, implement, and continuously improve AllerVie’s compliance program, policies, and procedures.
- Ensure alignment with healthcare regulatory requirements, including but not limited to HIPAA, OSHA, CMS, and state-specific regulations.
- Serve as the organization’s subject matter expert on compliance-related matters.
Cross-Functional Partnership
- Collaborate with leaders across clinical, operations, revenue cycle, HR, and other departments to support compliance and regulatory initiatives.
- Translate regulatory requirements into practical, department-specific workflows and controls.
- Act as a trusted advisor to leadership on compliance risks and mitigation strategies.
Monitoring, Auditing & Risk Management
- Develop and oversee internal auditing and monitoring programs to assess compliance effectiveness.
- Identify areas of risk and implement corrective action plans.
- Track, trend, and report compliance metrics to senior leadership.
Training & Education
- Lead the development and delivery of compliance training programs for providers, leaders, and staff.
- Ensure ongoing education on regulatory changes and organizational policies.
- Promote a culture of compliance through proactive communication and engagement.
Investigations & Issue Resolution
- Oversee the investigation of compliance concerns, including hotline reports and internal inquiries.
- Ensure timely and appropriate resolution of compliance issues.
- Maintain documentation and reporting in accordance with regulatory expectations.
Regulatory Readiness & Reporting
- Support regulatory inspections, audits, and accreditation processes.
- Prepare reports and updates for executive leadership as needed.
- Stay current on evolving healthcare regulations and assess organizational impact.
Team Leadership
- Lead and develop the Compliance Manager, providing coaching, direction, and performance oversight.
- Build scalable processes to support a growing compliance function.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree, JD, or relevant advanced degree preferred
- 7–10+ years of healthcare compliance experience, with increasing leadership responsibility
- Strong knowledge of healthcare regulatory frameworks (HIPAA, CMS)
- Experience building or leading compliance programs in a multi-site healthcare environment preferred
- Demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders and drive organizational change
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
- High level of integrity, discretion, and professional judgment
