Job Description


Job Summary

The Driver is responsible for pulling material, loading, securing, and verifying the load for delivery to our local customers in a flatbed truck.

Function in the Job

Heavy work - Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
Job Function

  • Set up and operate Class A or B CDL truck and Tractor/Trailer combos.
  • Read Bill of Lading.
  • May be required to package material for shipment.
  • Load truck for local deliveries.
  • Daily inspection of truck, in accordance with DOT regulations.
  • Operate forklift.
  • Inspect load for verification of orders being delivered.
  • Delivery of product to customer locations.
  • Represent Service Steel Aerospace.
  • Fuel truck and adhere to maintenance schedule of vehicle.
  • May be required to work OT but not to exceed 12 hours in one shift.
  • Must follow all JSA’s attached to position.
  • Must follow all Safety procedures.

 


Required Skills

  • Clean driving record for the last 3 years minimum.
  • Ability to quickly learn multiple functions in a complex industry.
  • Must be able to work in a team environment.
  • Knowledge of operating industrial equipment.
  • Ability to communicate well with others.
  • Good mathematical skills, including measurements.
  • Ability to use and read measuring equipment such as calipers and measuring tapes.
  • Ability to operate a crane/forklift.
  • Class A or Class B enhanced license

 


Compensation Range

The anticipated compensation for this position is USD $25.00/Hr. - USD $38.00/Hr. depending on experience, qualifications, and location.
