Installation Design Engineer (Unit Leader)

The Installation Design Engineer (Unit Leader) is responsible for leading and coordinating electrical installation and outfitting design activities in support of vessel construction. This role serves as the primary liaison between Electrical Engineering and Production, ensuring installation design packages are complete, accurate, and executable in the field. The Unit Leader will oversee installation design development, support engineering efforts during construction, and coordinate with internal stakeholders, engineering company, subcontractors, vendors, Class, and Owner representatives to ensure compliance with contract specifications, regulatory requirements, and shipyard standards.
