Description

This gives Energy5 true coast-to-coast capability, allowing us to deliver anything from a single charger at a small business to full-scale, multi-hundred-port deployments.
As an Energy5 Lead Generation Specialist, you will support the growth of our Account Management teams by identifying, qualifying, and organizing targeted lead opportunities. This role plays an important part in ensuring our sales organization is focused on the right companies, industries, and projects that align with Energy5’s turnkey, construction, and funding services.
You will research markets, identify potential customers, and build structured lead lists that support outbound campaigns, call center engagement, and direct sales activity. The role requires strong attention to detail, comfort working with data, and the ability to identify patterns that improve targeting accuracy and conversion performance.
This position helps increase inbound opportunities and improves the efficiency of outbound efforts by ensuring leads are relevant, well-qualified, and aligned with available incentive programs and infrastructure demand.
Key Responsibilities
You will work closely with sales leadership, partnerships teams, marketing, IT, and call center partners to improve lead quality, maintain organized datasets, and support outbound campaign activity.
Energy5 supports a wide range of customer types, including charge point operators, private fleets, developers, national brands, OEMs, consultants, and commercial property owners seeking electrification solutions.
Responsibilities include:
- Researching and identifying target industries and companies aligned with Energy5’s services across EV charging, infrastructure, fleet electrification, and commercial development
- Building structured leads using scraped, sourced, or researched data
- Cross-referencing potential customers against incentive and rebate programs to prioritize high-probability opportunities
- Managing and organizing lead data within Salesforce
- Supporting outbound email and digital campaigns through targeted lead segmentation
- Distributing qualified leads to account managers, partnerships teams, and call center resources
- Monitoring lead performance and identifying patterns that improve targeting accuracy
- Maintaining clean and organized datasets that support efficient outreach
- Supporting campaign testing and list optimization efforts
- Developing structured KPIs that measure lead quality and conversion effectiveness
- Collaborating with internal teams to refine targeting strategies based on market feedback
- Identifying industry segments showing increased EV adoption or infrastructure demand
- Helping build repeatable processes that improve lead generation efficiency over time

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Experience in lead generation, market research, or business development support
- Experience working with CRM systems such as Salesforce
- Experience building targeted outreach lists
- Familiarity with B2B sales environments
- Experience supporting outbound campaigns or SDR teams
- Experience working with structured datasets or research tools
- Experience working in clean energy, infrastructure, technology, or construction industries is helpful but not required
Required Experience
- Higher education or equivalent professional certifications and demonstrated experience.
