The Hotel Indigo-Williamsburg - Brooklyn is currently seeking a dynamic, experienced and motivated individual for the position of House Attendant at our StepStone Hospitality managed hotel. This candidate should demonstrate excellent organizational & communication skills, a strong proficiency in multi-tasking. Your attention to detail and dedication to guest satisfaction will help ensure a comfortable and enjoyable stay for every guest.


Responsibilities:

  • Support housekeeping team by delivering linens, towels, and supplies to guest rooms and storage areas
     
  • Maintain cleanliness in guest corridors, stairwells, elevators, and public areas
     
  • Remove trash and used linens from guest rooms and housekeeping carts
     
  • Assist with setting up and breaking down housekeeping closets and carts
     
  • Report maintenance issues or safety hazards promptly to the appropriate department
     
  • Respond to guest requests courteously and efficiently, ensuring satisfaction
     
  • Uphold health, safety, and sanitation standards in all areas of responsibility
     
  • Help create a warm, welcoming environment through cleanliness and professionalism

Requirements

  • Experience in housekeeping or hotel operations preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
  • Ability to work efficiently and independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with guests and team members.
  • Physical ability to stand, bend, lift, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift.
  • Knowledge of safety and sanitation regulations is a plus. 
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred; relevant experience required.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work within established cleaning procedures.
  • Previous experience in a hotel environment preferred
  • Knowledge of applicable Federal, state, and local health, safety, and legal regulations
  • Ability to obtain required licenses and certificates
  • Additional language ability preferred
  • CPR and first aid training preferred
