The Public Works Department prides itself in assuring that the community’s public areas are safe, usable, clean and promoting the beautiful appearance of the community. Public Works plays a key role in the planning and maintenance of infrastructure projects in the community that will allow future generations to enjoy a higher quality of life. The purpose of the Fleet Mechanic II position is to perform major and minor mechanical repairs on all systems of internal combustion equipment, including diesel engines; to perform diagnostic activities for vehicle repair; and to maintain and repair a variety of maintenance equipment.
