Corporate Services (COS) is part of the Global Core Operation (GCO) and is a department in Hong Kong responsible for post-IPO client facing matters. COS provides frontline services to issuer clients and at the same time takes charge of day-to-day operation management. COS does not need to maintain a sales target, but COS has a crucial role in sales support for relationship managers.
A fantastic opportunity has arisen and we are looking for an Assistant Manager to join our COS team in Hong Kong, which is a non-junior role in the department to handle administrative tasks and take part in internal projects.
A role you will love
Corporate Services Assistant Manager is responsible for day-to-day client account management where both regular and high-profile clients are assigned thereunder. The main job duties are to carry out tasks in relation to shareholder meeting management, dividend payment, dispatch of corporate communication and corporate action management according to the agreed timeline and regulatory requirement.
Some other key accountabilities will include:
• Project participation. Execute client projects to ensure matters are handled timely and accurately
• Process Improvement & Team Development Support. Provide effective supervision of junior staff and assist senior to do regular update of projects progress. In conjunction with senior, identify and implement process improvement initiatives to improve service quality
• Administration and Management Reporting. Oversee the jobs status and ensure records are kept up to date. Accurate and timely submission of reports and requests for information
• Response to clients' enquiries on a timely basis
• Project Management Support (Ad-hoc)
What will you bring to the role?
To be successful in this role, you must have a great understanding of HK financial industry and excellent interpersonal skills. Sound problem solving and analytical skills, excellent time management and the ability to work under pressure.
Some other key skills required for the role:
• University graduate with bachelor’s degree or above in business related discipline
• Minimum 4-5 year of relevant experience in the financial services industry
• Experience in handling corporate action projects and corporate clients
• Attention to detail and track record of producing high-quality work
• Resilient and composed under pressure, proactive, self-motivated, take ownership / responsibility for own work and work of others
• Willing to travel
• Advanced IT skills (incl. Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel)
• Excellent communication skills, fluency in English, Mandarin and Cantonese
