Distribution Underwriter, Property & Casualty (Senior Executive)

We are seeking a Distribution Underwriter to join our Property & Casualty (P&C) business. This role combines technical underwriting expertise with business development responsibilities, supporting profitable growth through our intermediary channels including brokers and agents.

You will play a key role in evaluating risks, structuring insurance solutions, and strengthening distribution partnerships, while ensuring alignment with underwriting guidelines and regulatory standards in Singapore.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and grow a profitable portfolio of business across assigned distribution channels, build and maintain strong relationships with intermediaries
• Assess and underwrite new and renewal Property & Casualty risks within delegated authority
• Evaluate risk exposures using underwriting tools, claims data, and financial information
• Identify cross-selling opportunities across P&C product lines
• Participate in meetings, client engagements, and marketing initiatives
• Ensure compliance with internal underwriting guidelines and regulatory requirements
• Provide market feedback and support product enhancements
• Contribute to business planning and strategic initiatives
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members 

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Insurance, or a related field
• 3–6 years of experience in P&C underwriting with exposure to intermediary channels in a client-facing capacity
• Strong knowledge of P&C insurance products
• Good understanding of the Singapore insurance market and regulatory environment
• Professional certifications such as Singapore College of Insurance (SCI) qualifications or Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) certifications are advantageous
• Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills for both internal and external stakeholders
