Are you looking to take the next step in your career? Havas Play is looking for an Associate Account Director to join their team.

DESCRIPTION OF ROLE 

The Associate Account Director plays a pivotal role in driving strategic and operational excellence across client portfolios. Partnering with the Account Director, they are responsible for elevating the quality of integrated media delivery, ensuring campaigns are grounded in platform-native thinking, flawlessly executed across paid, owned, and earned channels, and backed by data-led insights that drive measurable business outcomes. They act as a trusted day-to-day client lead, translating business objectives into cohesive media strategies that deliver results and grow account value. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

Client Service 

• Lead WIPs, status, and stakeholder comms, in person where possible. 
• Translate strategy into channel & content plans. 
• Ensure every plan has test-and-learn baked in. 

• Leading and driving in-person meetings with clients. 

Social Media 

• Drive platform-specific best practice across Meta, TikTok, LinkedIn, and emerging channels. Leading strategic development of content approach. 
• Oversee creative development with digital, production, and influencer teams across campaigns. 
• Monitor trends, audience signals, and performance to optimise in real-time. 
• Ensure community management aligns with brand voice and risk protocols. 
• Train and mentor team members in client service, social media management and client delivery. 
• Review and approve team output to ensure quality, consistency, and best practice. 

Campaign Management 

• Shepherd trafficking, QA, and pacing. 
• Work with traders on bid/format/creative tests. 
• Ensure accurate weekly and EOC reporting. 

People & Process 

• Coach AMs/SAEs; enforce process discipline. 
• Champion DE&I and Impact+ within squad. 
 

EXPECTED HANDS-ON EXPERIENCE / TOOLS 

SOCIAL 

  • Paid Social: Meta Ads Manager, TikTok Ads, YouTube, LinkedIn Campaign Manager. 

  • Organic Social: Community management, planning and publishing (Brandwatch or other platform as needed), community moderation, escalation protocols. Reporting and measurement (Brandwatch, Meta, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn and other social platforms where applicable). 

CONTENT 

Content Production Management: 

  • Understanding social-first content specifications (dimensions, aspect ratios, safe zones, and platform publishing requirements). 

  • Knowledge of creator usage rights and how to manage/track permissions across influencer and UGC content. 

  • Familiarity with music licensing basics for organic and paid use. 

  • Ability to scope and brief light production needs (storyboards, basic shot lists, design mock-ups).(Monday.com, Brandwatch) 

 
Copywriting & Publishing:  

  • Strong copywriting skills across platforms, with proficiency in scheduling, publishing, and optimising content within native platforms and third-party tools. (Brandwatch, Trello) 

 
Performance Mindset:  

  • Ability to monitor creative effectiveness in real-time and adapt content quickly in response to trends, signals, and audience engagement. (Meta, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn, Brandwatch and other applicable social media platforms). 

GENERAL 

  • Brand Tracking: Meaningful Brands diagnostic inputs; brand lift studies; social sentiment (Brandwatch). 

  • Project/Workflow: Monday.com, Teams; WIP management; version control & approvals. 

  • Finance: Mediaocean/SMD; PO management; monthly reconciliation & forecasting. 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE 

  • 6+ years in client service; strong cross-channel literacy with social depth. 

  • Demonstrated ability to run complex campaigns end-to-end. 

  • Excellent client and stakeholder management; crisp written and verbal communication. 

  • Strong understanding of integrated media with deep literacy in social platforms and culture. 

  • Numerate and data-literate; able to translate performance into business outcomes. 

  • Organised, dependable, and calm under pressure; strong attention to detail. 

  • High integrity with a bias for action; collaborative in a ‘Village’ integrated model. 

  • Commitment to DE&I, sustainability (Impact+) and a growth mindset through continuous learning.
