Position Summary:

The Machine Operator 3’s primary responsibility is to operate production equipment, including but not limited to the stretcher, extrusion saw, Metlsaw, B&O saw, Cerlobathe bender, miter saw, punch press, age oven, sand blaster and extrusion press.

Must be willing and able to work in an environment exposed to elements that can include but are not limited to coolant, dust, mist, elevated noise, and uncontrolled temperatures.

Accountabilities:

• Perform machine setups including calibration and cleaning, etc.to start a production cycle.
• Perform typical machine shop and mold press operations to support the assembly floor.
• Tend to the machine and product to ensure quality and proper operation.
• Use and interpret precision measuring instruments (gauging equipment) to ensure product quality and specifications are met.
• Complete daily machine check sheets and production recording.
• Control and adjust the functions and settings of machines (e.g. speed).
• Detect and report defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor.
• Ensure quality parts are being produced by making frequent quality checks.
• Feed the necessary raw materials or parts to semi-automated machines.
• Load program and setup tools in a machine.
