- Establish, align and manage target and budget goals whilst ensuring effective control of costs for a range of functional areas to increase cost efficiency.
- Establish a sound risk management culture through awareness of campaigns to influence behaviour and drive the importance of compliance.
- Cultivate and manage objective working relationships with a variety of stakeholders, including end-users, SME’s, project managers and senior staff members.
- Maintenance of expert knowledge on relevant legislative amendments, industry best practices and provision of proactive advice and solutions to relevant stakeholders.
- Provide the segment with effective risk management strategies, tools and methodologies to minimize or prevent the risk of loss.
- Comply with governance in terms of legislative and audit requirements.
- Provision of recommendations for Risk Framework for the Group based on findings from analyses of risk in the segments.
- Implement and maintain sound business processes that minimize risk and deliver quality requirementsspecifications. Report on and / or find solutions to items resulting from findings by internal or external audit and client management risk.
- Manage and ensure compliance to the Basil II accord.
- Benchmark current practices against the risk management framework and adjust practices as and when necessary.
- Collate and manage implementation of risk mitigation plans in business unit / segment.
- Provide qualitative risk status reporting with accurate and reliable business intelligence (information) together with analyzing trends and data.
- Plan and manage performance, skills development, employment equity, talent and culture of team in order to improve innovation and achieve efficiencies.
- Manage personal development to increase own skills and competencies.
