Salary Range: £53,269 -£58,000
Leonardo UK operates a grade-based salary framework with broad bands. The salary range shown reflects the approved grade band for this role, or a narrower hiring range published within that band, and is benchmarked against the external market. Exceptions above the standard range are managed through governance controls to protect internal equity.

At Leonardo, we are looking for an experienced Project Accountant to join our team in Edinburgh. Leonardo is an international leader in electronic and information technologies for defence systems and aerospace.
The role is a mixture of home based working and onsite in Edinburgh. You will be working as part of an integrated project team and part of the Edinburgh Finance Team. You will manage and be responsible for the financial and project reporting requirements for a specific group of projects. The role is within a dynamic business sector that looks to deliver solutions to a truly global marketplace.
What you’ll do as a Project Accountant:
As a Project Accountant you will manage and be responsible for the financial and project reporting requirements for a specific group of projects within the Airborne AESA Radar sector, providing accurate, timely and relevant management information as well as providing advice and guidance to the project teams. The role is part of a dynamic business sector that looks to deliver solutions to a truly global marketplace. Finance play a key role in the service offering and this is a chance to make a difference as well as satisfy the statutory requirements.
Key Responsibility Areas:
What You'll Bring
- Fully qualified accountant (CIMA, ACA, or ACCA).
- Strong understanding of IFRS 15 and its practical application.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to adapt your approach to different stakeholders.
- A proactive and solutions-focused mindset, with the initiative to identify and drive improvements.
- Advanced Excel skills and strong proficiency across the Microsoft Office suite.
- Previous SAP experience would be advantageous.
