Job Details:
Pay: $18.60/hr + 1.50/hr attendance bonus
2nd shift receives a $2 shift differential
Hours:
Monday – Friday, occasional weekend work
1st Shift: 7:00 am – 3:30 pm or upon completion of assigned work
2nd Shift 3:30 pm – 12:00 am or upon completion of assigned work
SUMMARY: This position is responsible for trimming rejected product before and after going through the x-ray machine to meet the necessary Final Product Standards (FPS) requirements.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Trim rejected product for FPS compliance
Follow procedures for salvage and reprocessing
Capture and record all required data
Other duties as assigned, inclusive but not limited to trayline traying and debone support as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment safely and efficiently
Ability to operate safely and effectively
Ability to work efficiently at a fast pace; while operating a knife
Required to master knife skills
Able to discern and pay attention to quality of product
Must be able to work independently and make decisions
Willingness to function as part of a team and work toward team goals
Eagerness to learn new ideas
Preparedness to assist in other areas of production and work overtime as required
Education and/or Experience:
High School or equivalent preferred
6 months of production experience preferred
Communication Skills:
Must be able to communicate effectively
Physical Requirements / Environment:
Stand: Continuously (8 or more hours)
Grasp: Continuously (handling knife)
Pull/Push: Frequently
Lift/Carry: Frequently (up to 10 lbs.)
Occasionally (up to 30-50 lbs.)
Bend/Stoop/Squat: Occasionally
Physical Environment:
Continuously: Working around moving machinery, working in a damp, slippery and cold environment (Below 40° F)
Occasionally; reach above shoulder (up to 2 ft.)
Occasionally; Climb (2 feet)
