As part of the planned spin-off of the ZEISS Hunting & Nature Business Unit, a new, independent company is being established. Recruitment for this position is conducted by ZEISS, while the employment contract will be concluded with the newly founded independent company.

We are looking for a creative and tech-savvy Senior Image Processing Engineer (m/f/x) to join our dedicated team and help develop best-in-class image quality for digital hunting and nature observation devices.
ZEISS Hunting & Nature is currently undergoing an exciting transformation process: in order to position ourselves more dynamically, customer-oriented and future-oriented, we are transferring the company from the ZEISS Group into an independent unit with an investor. The new unit exclusively develops and distributes the innovative optical products for hunters, birders and outdoor enthusiasts of the ZEISS brand.
For you as a Senior Image Processing Engineer (m/f/x), this means the opportunity to actively shape our product portfolio in flat hierarchies and to develop innovative digital solutions for our customers.
Your Role
Develop both classical algorithms and modern machine learning techniques
Implement algorithms efficiently on embedded hardware
Optimize parameters for complex, hybrid image pipelines
Develop innovative solutions for hardware-constrained challenges
Train your own models for various applications like super resolution, denoising, image fusion, contrast enhancement and others
Stay updated with the latest trends in the field of image processing and computer vision
Your Profile
A Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field
Proven experience in mathematical image processing
Proficiency in Python, C/C++, and version control o Familiarity with toolkits such as OpenCV, TensorFlow, or PyTorch
Ability to develop both classical algorithms and use modern machine learning techniques
A hands-on approach to bringing your ideas to life in our digital consumer products
Willingness to stay updated with the latest trends in the field of image processing
