Job Summary

  • The Director of Talent Acquisition is responsible for developing and executing comprehensive, enterprise-wide talent acquisition strategies that align with Jackson Health System's broader people agenda and organizational objectives. 
  • This role serves as a strategic leader in advancing workforce planning, optimizing the candidate experience, and shaping talent initiatives that drive long-term capability and leadership bench strength. 
  • The Director leads a high-performing team and partners closely with executive leadership to build internal talent pipelines, champion employer branding, and design inclusive recruitment programs that meet evolving health system needs. 
  • Through evidence-based approaches, this position supports strategic decision-making with analytics and plays a critical role in advancing workforce readiness and mobility across the organization.

Duties and Responsibilities

Strategic Talent Planning & Leadership

  • Lead the development and execution of integrated talent acquisition strategies aligned with the enterprise's workforce priorities. 
  • Guide workforce planning initiatives through close collaboration with senior leaders to anticipate short- and long-term talent needs. 
  • Drive strategic initiatives that enhance organizational capability through identification and cultivation of top talent and high-potential leaders. 

Team and Operational Leadership 

  • Provide leadership and direction to the Talent Acquisition team, building a high-performance culture focused on collaboration, accountability, and service excellence. 
  • Oversee resource planning, operational workflows, and continuous process improvements to ensure efficiency, scalability, and alignment with best practices. 
  • Employer Brand and Candidate ExperienceOversee the development and execution of innovative employer branding strategies that position Jackson Health System as an employer of choice. 
  • Ensure the delivery of a seamless, equitable, and engaging candidate experience across all touchpoints. 
  • Integrate internal and external branding efforts to streamline outreach, improve market positioning, and enhance organizational reputation. 
  • Diversity, Inclusion, and Community Engagement 
  • Champion inclusive hiring practices and expand access to diverse talent pools by forging partnerships with community organizations, academic institutions, and professional associations. 
  • Contribute to internal advancement and mobility strategies that cultivate diverse leadership pipelines. 

Data-Driven Insights & Performance Optimization 

  • Leverage workforce and recruitment data to provide timely insights, guide decisions, and enhance outcomes related to hiring effectiveness, retention, and talent mobility. 
  • Establish key performance indicators to measure team success and continuously refine recruitment metrics in support of organizational goals. 

Career Pathing and Internal Mobility 

  • Collaborate with Talent Management to design frameworks for internal advancement, succession planning, and career development pathways. 
  • Align talent acquisition with broader learning and development strategies to build future workforce capabilities. 

Organizational Partnership and Influence 

  • Serve as a strategic advisor to executive stakeholders, providing consultative guidance and aligning acquisition strategies with enterprise vision and values. 
  • Represent the Talent Acquisition function in cross-functional initiatives and enterprise projects, contributing to culture and operational transformation. 
  •  Performs other duties as assigned.


Experience

  • Generally requires 7 to 10 years of related experience. Management experience is required.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in related field is required. Master's degree is strongly preferred.

Credentials

  • Valid license or certification is required as needed, based on the job or specialty.
