About the Safety & Security Department
The Safety & Security Department ensures that ReDiscover provides a safe, welcoming environment for our clients, staff, and guests by maintaining full compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. Our team plays a key role in developing and implementing safety plans across all ReDiscover locations and special events—and often serves as the first friendly face to greet everyone who walks through our doors.
What You’ll Do
- Assist with the development and implementation of safety plans for various locations and special events.
- Service all 911 calls, notify appropriate ReDiscover personnel of emergency status, and communicate with emergency agencies as appropriate.
- Handle requests for safety personnel on a scheduled and as needed basis.
- Conduct required safety drills at each ReDiscover location.
- Complete tasks relevant to maintaining proper accreditations and company policies.
- Fill in for Stationary Building Safety Monitors on an as needed basis for proper scheduling and staffing of the facilities.
Requirements of the Position
- Must meet one of the educational criteria listed below, which includes:
- Associate’s Degree in Criminal Justice or relevant social service field or;
- High School diploma with three (3) years of qualifying experience.
- Qualifying experience includes: Providing safety or security compliance, incident reporting, accreditation compliance, and/or emergency management.
- A valid automobile driver’s license, appropriate automobile insurance, and a safe, reliable, registered automobile available for use during work.
- Ability to work a regular, consistent shift of Monday – Friday from 9:00 am – 5:30 pm.
- Experience in digital control systems of various types of building automation systems is preferred.
- Experience with hands-off de-escalation techniques is preferred.’
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Comfort with electronic health records and intermediate computer proficiency (Microsoft Office and use of email)
