The Accounting Senior Manager - Statutory Controllership Leader is responsible for Establishing and maintenance the general accounting reporting and practices for the organization. Compiles and analyzes financial information to prepare and/or review necessary journal entries for properly stated ledgers and financial statements in accordance with regulations (e.g., GAAP) and company policy. May perform bookkeeping or account management duties. Includes accounts payable, cost accounting, cash management and Controllers responsible for only accounting..
What you will do:
- Lead the organization on statutory reporting matters across all regions by establishing standard policies and practices to ensure that statutory auditing and reporting are performed in a compliant and efficient manner according to required timelines
- Ensure the compliance with Danaher policies and practices as it relates to statutory reporting and coordinate with the external auditors on audit program approach that will optimize and economize on required work
- Prepare annual budget of statutory costs and monitor throughout the year to economize on costs and limit overruns
- Apply DBS principles and orchestrate projects to make the statutory process is as efficient as possible, train local controllers on best practices
- Work with cross functional colleagues in tax, transfer pricing, accounting process teams to ensure the required levels of support for statutory responsibilities
Who you are:
- Accounting & Regulatory Expertise: Deep knowledge of local and international accounting standards (IFRS, US GAAP, local GAAPs) and regulatory compliance requirements across multiple jurisdictions.
- Analytical & Detail-Oriented: Strong ability to analyze complex financial data, ensure accuracy, reconcile discrepancies, and interpret regulatory changes for timely reporting.
- Multinational Experience: Familiarity with cross-border reporting, transfer pricing implications, and consolidations for subsidiaries in diverse regulatory environments.
- Leadership & Collaboration: Capable of managing a team of accountants and coordinating with internal stakeholders (tax, finance, legal) and external auditors to meet reporting deadlines.
- Technology & Process Savvy: Proficiency in ERP systems, financial reporting tools, and automation solutions to streamline statutory reporting processes while ensuring data integrity.
