Department Overview

Information Systems Division oversees the IT infrastructure of Rakuten Insurance group, maintaining the core insurance system. Moreover, we actively work to develop the new products and improve IT services through the technology, closely collaborating with the business.

Main assignment of IT Manager is the leader of the technology group (technology teams) who drive the team members for the high-quality system development.

Position Details

Project Promotion and Application support in Rakuten Life Insurance IT division

- IT Lead for application group (multiple teams)

- Promote IT project

- Mentoring IT team members

- Vendor control

- Incident Troubleshooting

- Improvement proposal

- Cooperation with other teams

Employees: Approximately 20
Partner Companies: Approximately 100

Under the System Development Department, there are two groups: the Core System Development Group and the Agency/Web Development Group. Projects are driven forward in units consisting of several employees and several members from partner companies.

Mostly career professional

Windows / Linux

Mandatory Qualifications:

- Minimum 3 years' experience working in IT related technical areas

- Solid understanding of web-based systems, enterprise systems, network architectures

- Development language: PHP、JAVA、HTML/JavaScript etc.

- System experience on both Windows / Unix OS

- Communication Skill

- Problem-solving ability

- Japanese language Native or fluent

Desired Qualifications:

- ITEE certifications

- Supervisory position experience

- Experience of IT manager of insurance/financial industry

- Business English
