SECURITY OFFICER

Responsible for ensuring the safety and security of the patrons, employees, and all properties owned by Scioto Downs.

• Greeting and thanking customers as they enter and exit the gaming facility
• Must be able to work around animals.
• Makes sure customers are of age by checking ID
• Very Guest Service oriented.
• All other duties as assigned

• Must have excellent communication skills, be polite, and present a neat appearance. 
• Must be able to read and write to ensure report completion. 
• Must be able to work rotational shifts. Security experience helpful but not necessary
• Must be able to stand/walk/ sit for extended periods. May be exposed to working in a noisy, smoke/secondary smoke environment. 
• Must be at least 21. Must be able to obtain and maintain appropriate licensing. Must be able to pass a background investigation. Subject to pre-employment drug screening.
• High School Diploma or equivalent. 

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to push and pull up to 50 pounds
• Ability to lift and carry objects up to 30 pounds
• Ability to bend, stoop, twist, reach, and kneel repetitively
• Ascend and descend stairs and maintain equilibrium for an extended period
• Must be able to work from a standing position and/or walking motion for extended period
• Ability to work in a smoking and pet-friendly environment
