Job Description
Summary:
Looking to fill an entry-level mechanic position with someone willing to work hard and learn the industrial pump industry. This person will bring their mechanical aptitude and interests with knowledge of hand tools and attention to detail. The expectation for this person is to develop into a capable mechanic responsible for disassembly, dimensional analysis, evaluation, repair, and assembly of various types of 'high energy' industrial pumps.
Responsibilities:
Dismantle pumps into individual components utilizing hand/air tools, power tools, torch sets, cranes, etc.
Examine/Inspect components with micrometers, dial indicators, depth micrometers, hardness tester, etc.
Complete forms and supplement with written reports of findings from inspections.
Assemble pumps with conventional and state-of-the-art methods.
Some day trips for field service jobs
Qualifications:
Previous experience as a mechanic or pump experience is a plus
Exposure or knowledge of shop equipment such as micrometers, torque wrenches, oxy/acetylene torches, overhead cranes, tow motor, and other industrial tools.
Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
Organized and detail-oriented
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
