Senior Business Analyst - BuildOps

Position Overview

As a Senior Business Analyst - BuildOps, you will own the BuildOps workstream within Modigent’s Horizons Program — our multi-OpCo ERP transformation initiative. You will lead the implementation of BuildOps as the field service management platform across operating companies while providing ongoing operational support for live deployments. This role bridges implementation execution and day-to-day operations, ensuring BuildOps effectively supports dispatch, preventive maintenance, service agreements, and field technician workflows. You will drive configuration, data migration, training, and continuous improvement while maintaining system reliability as the platform scales across the organization.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead current-state assessment for each OpCo, documenting existing service operations, dispatch workflows, preventive maintenance processes, and customer data.
  • Own future-state design and gap analysis: define BuildOps configuration aligned with Horizons standards, identify gaps, document decisions, and secure business sign-off at every phase gate.
  • Execute field-level configuration, including service agreements, customer records, technician setup, dispatch workflows, and integration points with Sage Intacct.
  • Manage complex service agreement migrations, including mapping, transformation, validation, and import processes.
  • Provide ongoing operational support for live OpCos, resolving dispatch issues, PM schedule problems, invoicing workflows, user escalations, and other production support needs.
  • Partner with the Sage Intacct SME and integration teams to ensure seamless data flow between BuildOps and financial systems.
  • Develop and maintain the BuildOps playbook, including configuration standards, workflows, and operational procedures for consistent deployment across operating companies.
  • Design and deliver role-based training for dispatchers, technicians, service managers, and operational support staff to drive successful field adoption.
  • Monitor system performance, identify improvement opportunities, and contribute to the evolution of BuildOps processes and standards as the program scales.

Supervisory Responsibilities

None (senior individual contributor role with significant cross-functional leadership; provides guidance to implementation teams, operational support staff, and business stakeholders).

Requirements/Qualifications

  • Experience: Hands-on BuildOps implementation, configuration, and operational support experience in a commercial services or field service environment.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Operations Management, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
  • Physical Demands: Primarily office-based with occasional travel for OpCo implementations or go-live support; standard office mobility.
  • Work Environment/Safety: Professional office setting with hybrid options; adherence to corporate safety standards.

Required Skills

  • Deep expertise in BuildOps modules, including Dispatch, Preventive Maintenance, Service Agreements, Customer Management, and Invoicing.
  • Strong experience with BuildOps data migration, particularly service agreement imports and field format requirements.
  • Proven ability to manage both new implementations and live operational support simultaneously.
  • Solid understanding of how BuildOps integrates with ERP systems (Sage Intacct preferred) for financial data flows.
  • Excellent analytical, documentation, and training skills with the ability to translate complex processes for field users.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with operations, finance, and implementation teams.
  • Construction or facilities management services experience strongly preferred.
