
Program Manager III, Strategy & Innovation, Global Procurement Organization (GPO)
Job Description
You'll collaborate with Global Procurement Organization Pillar business strategy & execution leaders to ensure successful project outcomes that enable the delivery of our vision and strategic imperatives. This position offers the opportunity to work on complex, high-impact programs that span geographies and organizations, using performance improvement methodologies, root cause analysis, and change management to drive meaningful results. Key job responsibilities
- Manage the lifecycle of complex cross-functional programs with considerable impact, overseeing strategic initiatives across Global Procurement Organization pillars from concept through execution
- Drive process improvement initiatives by streamlining operations, implementing data-driven enhancements, and developing performance metrics and key performance indicators to measure success
- Partner with Global Procurement Organization leaders and business strategy & execution leaders to ensure program alignment with organizational objectives, regularly reviewing metrics and proactively seeking improved visibility mechanisms
- Build and execute global launch strategies for new programs and processes, collaborating cross-functionally with technical and non-technical teams while managing stakeholder expectations at all levels including executive leadership
- Identify and proactively mitigate program risks before they become roadblocks, making smart trade-offs between time, effort, and deliverables while driving consensus across teams to achieve project goals
A day in the life
Your day involves managing large-scale global initiatives from strategy through execution. You'll analyze data and metrics to develop key performance indicators and make informed decisions that drive improvements. You'll present insights and recommendations to senior leadership, articulating tradeoffs and communicating program strategy effectively. You'll build new complex cross-functional programs from the ground up, navigating between technical and non-technical audiences while ensuring alignment across organizational boundaries. This role includes approximately 30% travel to collaborate with global teams and stakeholders.

The Global Procurement Strategy & Innovation (GPSI) internal business operations team builds the operational backbone of Global Procurement Organization (GPO) by enabling data-driven decisions, strengthening governance, and enhancing engagement. Our team focuses on executing the frameworks and processes that allow the GPO to deliver on its strategic imperatives while maintaining operational excellence. We collaborate across pillars and geographies to drive meaningful improvements that support Amazon's procurement vision and create lasting impact for our internal and external partners.
Are you ready to shape the operational backbone of Amazon's Global Procurement Organization? We're seeking a Program Manager III to execute the framework and governance that delivers our large-scale, cross-collaboration
- 5+ years of program or project management experience
- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
- Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
- 2+ years of driving process improvements experience
- Master's degree, or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field
- Knowledge of general AI tools
- Experience designing, implementing, and scaling upskilling, apprenticeship, or workforce development programs across large-scale operations or corporate environments, including forecasting workforce needs and leveraging analytics to drive program decisions

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
