Gallagher, we are seeking a Senior Property Broker Placement Specialist to join our Boston team of industry experts. In this pivotal client and carrier facing role, you will be responsible for marketing customer business—often of higher complexity—to a diverse range of insurance carriers. Leveraging your property expertise, you will independently evaluate qualified companies in the marketplace, ensuring thorough and strategic placement decisions. As a Senior Broker Placement Specialist, you will play a critical role in receiving and managing requests for quotations from account personnel, delivering tailored solutions that align with client needs. While you will work independently, you will have the support of a team of property placement specialists and be able to utilize the Gallagher National Property Practice for unusual or complex situations. How you'll make an impact Primarily accountable for retaining and expanding specific property clients, typically working on behalf of a variety of experienced Producers who manage complex books of business. Conducting account stewardship reviews, developing/executing strategic plans that will achieve our clients' goals while contributing profitable growth for the company, and working closely with the service team to ensure both a prompt resolution and satisfactory outcome to client issues. Markets customer business and has experience with a variety of property insurance placement structures, including single-carrier and shared-and-layered programs. Familiarity with facilitating programs for clients with global exposures that involve locally-issued policies and insurer fronting is preferred. Ensures thorough evaluation of qualified companies in the marketplace independently. Identifies appropriate carriers, sends requests, negotiates favorable quotes and prepares recommendations. Works closely with carrier underwriters both during the renewal cycle and throughout a policy year, including coordinating loss control site visits as required. Identifies and analyzes client exposures to recommend and/or design risk transfer/financing products. Ability to provide Business Income analysis for complex clients. Ability to support Builders’ Risk, Inland Marine, and Stock Throughput placements as needed Participates in development of department policies and procedures as needed. The position may involve mentoring responsibility assigning, prioritizing and monitoring work of less senior Specialists. Hybrid role – we understand that workplace flexibility is a gamechanger. We feel strongly that true collaboration can be achieved through a combination of in person and remote work. Ideal candidate is expected to be in office 2 days per week with flexibility depending on in-person client and carrier meetings. About You Required: Bachelor's degree and/or 5-10 years related industry experience. Candidate must hold valid Property and Casualty license. Ability to travel up to 10% on an as needed basis. Preferred: Professional designation such as Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU), Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) or Associate in Risk Management (ARM) preferred. Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills. Keen critical thinking skills, focusing solutions on the root cause. Behaviors: Successfully manages competing priorities, proficiency in using technology as a tool to maximize productivity and quality, builds collaborative and mutually meaningful relationships with internal and external clients, and comfortably engages others in a consultative sales dialogue.
