Job Summary:
This position is a Clinical & Scientific Marketing Specialist within the Marketing Team at CooperVision Korea, targeting professionals with 3–5 years of experience in medical device or healthcare marketing.
The role is responsible for leading scientific and academic marketing initiatives for ophthalmologists and key hospital decision-makers, with a strong focus on transforming clinical evidence into compelling marketing value.
The position will demonstrate proven capability in planning and executing medical education programs, developing HCP communication strategies, and collaborating closely with major domestic medical societies and academic institutions to deliver high-impact scientific programs and engagement initiatives.
Essential Functions & Accountabilities:
- Plan and execute scientific and educational marketing programs targeting ophthalmic HCPs and patients.
- Develop brand value messages and marketing content based on the clinical evidence of the CooperVision Myopia Management portfolio.
- Lead the planning and on-site execution of scientific events, including domestic medical congresses, symposia, webinars, and ABM programs.
- Develop integrated communication strategies across digital and offline channels (e.g., detailing materials, email campaigns, scientific newsletters) for HCPs and patients.
- Analyze hospital purchasing and decision-making processes and support hospital business partnerships, including in-hospital marketing initiatives and prescription activation programs.
- Collaborate with Global Marketing teams to localize global campaigns and initiatives for the Korean market.
- Track program performance based on KPI metrics and develop insight-driven reports and recommendations.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Strong understanding of HCP and patient marketing within the ophthalmology, medical device, or healthcare industry.
- Proven ability to translate clinical data and scientific literature into impactful marketing messages with strong storytelling skills.
- Practical knowledge of hospital sales and marketing dynamics, including KOL engagement, hospital administrative processes, and prescription pathways.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including Sales and APAC/Global teams.
- Strong presentation development and verbal communication skills in both Korean and English.
- Proficiency in MS Office and relevant data analysis tools.
Experience:
- 3–7+ years of hands-on marketing experience in the medical device, pharmaceutical, or healthcare industry.
- Experience in scientific/academic marketing or Medical Affairs roles targeting HCPs (e.g., physicians, specialists, optometrists).
- Hands-on experience with medical congresses, KOL management, and symposium execution.
Experience in hospital business development or in-hospital marketing projects.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher from a four-year university (preferred majors: Marketing, Business Administration, Life Sciences, Healthcare, or Optometry-related fields).
- Business-level English communication skills required for collaboration with global teams.
