Job Description
Technical Designer In collaboration with the purchasing, design, and procurement teams, the technical designer plays a key role in developing the styles of our exclusive collections.
With expertise in fit adjustments, garment construction, and materials, they ensure product optimization and quality. Their attention to detail and rigor allows them to continuously improve fits and finishes, ensuring high standards in design and manufacturing.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with buyers and designers in developing styles for our exclusive collections by creating technical specifications for garments, measurement charts, grading, and construction standards.
Measure and identify improvement points on samples submitted by our various suppliers.
Conduct fittings, analyze and comment on samples to make necessary technical adjustments.
Communicate corrections to various suppliers and collaborate with them to ensure compliance with technical specifications and construction standards.
Follow up on samples and provide recommendations to optimize the final result.
Ensure the conformity of sizes, fits, and finishes according to our brand standards.
Document and update product technical sheets to ensure accurate tracking.
Desired Profile
Hold a DEC or AEC in fashion design, an equivalent education, or relevant experience.
Possess good writing skills in both English and French to communicate effectively with all stakeholders.
Be comfortable handling multiple files simultaneously.
Have good organizational skills and be able to work under pressure while meeting fixed deadlines.
Possess knowledge and experience in garment assembly, grading, and fitting – an asset.
Proficiency in "Illustrator" software – an asset.
