School Commis Chef- South West London
Hospitality2ay are looking for Commis Chef to join our team and work in an ongoing booking for a prestigious school in South West London.
In this role, you will be working during term time, Monday- Friday between 7am to 3pm (may vary) with the potential to go permanent.
As a School Chef you will:
- Support the Chef de Partie in the preparation of food
- Measure, mix and prepare ingredients, sauces and seasonings
- Plate up meals under the Chef De Partie's supervision
- Monitoring and managing supplies, and reporting any issues to your superiors
- Provide general support to the entire catering team
- Maintaining kitchen and food safety standards
- Complying with Food Safety legislation
Work Experience
- Previous Catering experience as a Commis Chef preferably within schools/ contract catering environment (min 2 years’ working experience)
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent organisational skills
- Confident working in a busy kitchen
- Food health and safety training
Additional Information
Hours: Monday to Friday, 7am-3pm
Pay Rate: £14.00 per hour, (this rate will increase after 12 weeks continuous service)
Start Date: Monday 13th May 2024
Other: Enhanced DBS- Child workforce is a MUST, as well as 2x employment references
