Position Overview
Supporting a local, family-owned transportation company, CDL Drivers complete routes between our trucking facilities, warehouses, and customer locations primarily throughout New England, with frequent runs to the Boston area. This role is ideal for candidates seeking steady, local driving work without overnight travel.

Key Responsibilities
- Operate vehicles of the fleet as assigned, including flatbeds and vans
- Perform deliveries and back hauls (typically 1-2 stops per day)
- Follow routes and delivery schedules to ensure timely and efficient operations
- Maintain accurate driving and delivery logs
- Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections in compliance with DOT regulations, maintaining the cleanliness and safety of the vehicle and reporting any concerns or safety issues promptly
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and operations teams regarding routes, delays, or issues
- Adhere to all federal, state, and local laws and regulations while driving the vehicle
- Support the team and perform additional relevant duties as needed
What We’re Looking For
- Valid driver’s license and Class A Commercial Driver’s License (required)
- Previous CDL-A driving experience (required)
- Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination (required)
- 2+ years of incident-free commercial driving experience (preferred)
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to follow routes, directions, and schedules
- Reliability; able to report to work on time daily and work independently
What to Expect
- A reliable schedule (Monday through Friday, with a 4:30 AM-5:00 AM start time and overtime opportunities available)
- A primary work location in south-central Maine
- Consistent routes mainly within the State of Maine that keep you close to home
- Sitting for long durations (must be able to twist, turn, bend, stand, climb, kneel, and walk as required to perform the duties associated with the driver role)
