Job Description
The Facilities Maintenance I is responsible for ensuring that a building’s systems, structures, and equipment operate efficiently, safely, and in compliance with regulations. They perform both preventive and corrective maintenance, respond to emergencies, and maintain the overall condition of facilities to support productivity and safety. This function includes all aspects of Predictive, Preventive and Corrective maintenance activities to support Fresno maintenance unit targets and objectives. The candidate should be a strong team player and visible leader.

What You Will Do:
Always maintain a high degree of personal safety and environmental awareness.
Reads and works from related blueprints and other schematic drawings as needed.
Calibrates, installs and/or removes various instrumentation devices related to utilities (HVAC, plumbing, well water supply, building lights and low voltage equipment).
Conduct regular inspections of buildings and systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, security, fire alarms) to identify issues and prevent breakdown
Perform minor and major repairs on building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical equipment
Respond promptly to urgent maintenance calls, including after-hours and weekend work when required
Monitor and maintain heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems for optimal performance
Collaborate with contractors, other departments, and management to schedule maintenance, manage budgets, and ensure compliance with building codes and insurance requirements
Documentation: Record all maintenance, repair, and installation activities for accountability and future reference
Cuts, bends and installs tubing needed for the proper installation of the instrumentation device.
Troubleshoot/Repair Predictive program instrumentation and document instrumentation repair history in the CMMS system as required by site specific documentation.
Ensure replacement spare parts are available or replaced once installed.
Performs assignments in the layout, installation, repair, alteration, and maintenance of a wide variety of equipment
Maintains a strong focus on housekeeping in shop and office and at job sites in the field.
As needed, disassembles instrument or device in order to determine cause of defective operation or failure
Position Details:
Plant Location: Fresno, TX
Work Week & Shift: Monday - Thursday, 6:30AM-4:30PM (4-10s)
Possible OT: on call occasionally
Compensation: $33/hour
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent is required.
3+ years of experience with building/facilities maintenance
3+ years of experience with Building Utilities (HVAC, Plumbing, Water Supply, Well Water)

Preferred Qualifications:
3+ years of instrumentation, maintenance, and low voltage electrical experience
Experience in an industrial manufacturing setting
Experience with computer (Microsoft Office) and CMMS System for Work Orders/PMs
Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical/mechanical building equipment
Comfortability working indoors and outdoors, often in varying weather conditions.
Proficiency with hand and power tools, diagnostic equipment, and safety protocols (e.g., lock-out/tag-out).
Physical Requirements of Position:
Lifting, pushing, pulling, and carrying up to 50 pounds chest high
Kneeling, bending, squatting, pushing, pulling, and reaching above and below waist level
Working in a chemical processing plant with variable temperatures, odors, noise levels, elevated heights, and/or confined spaces
