CBA Design is an international creative agency specializing in strategic branding, proudly part of the global communications network WPP. With nine offices worldwide, we thrive on close collaboration across disciplines, constantly expanding our design capabilities and impact. As creatives, we believe that the future is collective, and we understand design as a global language that connects like-minded people. We are committed to fostering an environment where innovation, curiosity, and strategic thinking drive unique brand experiences. Today, we are looking for a talented Mid-Weight Brand Strategist to join our team and help us to create meaningful brands.
The role: You're equal parts strategist and collaborator. You know how to read a brief, challenge it, and turn it into a strategic direction that inspires the creative team and convinces the client. But more than anything, you care about brands: what they stand for, how they connect with people, and why some of them last. That conviction is what drives your work, and it shows in every project you touch.
What you will do:
You define the strategic territory of each project: the framework that guide every creative decision that follows.
• You do real research: ethnography, market analysis, trend forecasting, benchmarking. And you turn it into
actionable insight, not endless decks.
• You have your own way of working with AI: as a layer of depth, not a shortcut. You use it to explore conceptual
territories, challenge your own assumptions, and generate hypotheses you then validate. You have a method,
and it keeps evolving.
• You tell stories: from brief to creative rationale, from workshop to strategy doc. Your writing is part of your value.
• You present to clients with clarity and conviction: defending decisions, articulating the why behind every choice.
• You design and facilitate co-creation and innovation workshops with clients. You know how to walk into a room
full of stakeholders and make the session work.
• You work with the creative team from day one. Strategy doesn't stop when the visual work begins: you stay with
it to the end.
• You manage your own time and priorities. You know how long things take and communicate early before it
becomes a problem.
What we're looking for:
• At least 3 years of experience in a creative agency or design studio.
• A deep understanding of the consumer branding: identity, narrative, positioning, architecture.
• Strong conceptual thinking: the ability to move from abstract idea to concrete execution.
• Real experience with research methodologies: ethnography, interviews, cultural analysis. Beyond desk research.
• An active practice with AI tools applied to strategy. Real interest, not passive familiarity.
• Excellent written and spoken Spanish and English. Catalan and Portuguese are a bonus.
• The kind of proactivity that sees what needs doing before anyone asks.
• Genuinely curious: about people, culture, business, and the world brands live in.
What we offer:
• Full-time contract.
• Hybrid model (2 days/week remote) and Fridays afternoons off.
• 22 days of annual leave + additional days off over Easter and Christmas.
• Intensive working hours (until 15:00h) during July and August.
• Flexible salary compensation plan (including meal vouchers, transport, training, and more).
• A dog-friendly, highly creative, and multidisciplinary studio environment in the Barcelona WPP Campus.
At Ogilvy, our people are at the heart of what we do: a creative agency that sparks game-changing ideas across culture and business through collaboration, integrity, and a celebration of self-expression.
We believe in building powerful teams with purpose - and we relentlessly curate transformative initiatives that make our commitment to fairness, and equity a reality.
Our ultimate mission is to leave a positive impact on the world, creating a better future for all, while supporting and uplifting the global communities we serve. This is central to our mantra of Borderless Creativity.
