NAME OF THE POSITION – House of pricing/Pricing Specialist

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

To ensure efficient and accurate freight forwarding operations, providing exceptional service to business partners and clients.

Main tasks:
Receiving and processing customer spot requests for quotes and other inquiries, in some cases clarifying if necessary.
Contacting appropriate origin/destination pricing teams for spot rates, compiling rates/creating spot offer from Quoteshop
Submitting offer in various ways (via email, via tool/platform like GT Nexus/OTM/Keelvar)
Updating and distributing spot quotes to various stations
Continuously monitoring customer spot quotes and inquiries
Coordinating the accurate execution of won business with the countries and informing the customer as necessary.
Proactively communicating information regarding the status of quotes and inquiries, as well as any potential issues to the customer, and
taking or initiating immediate corrective and preventive actions.
Updating Standard Operational Procedures (SOP)
Utilizing best practices/procedures for other customers, as well as automating and documenting processes.
Maintaining and sending reports
Preparing regular performance reports and analyses related to dedicated customer
Completing administrative tasks on time
Participating in calls if necessary
Expectations:
university/college degree (logistics specialisation is an advantage))
1-3 years of experience in a similar field (preferably in a multinational company)
Experience in sales support/after-sales/quotation is an advantage
Experience in sea/air freight forwarding
Negotiation-level, minimum intermediate active English language skills
User-level knowledge of MS Office (mainly Excel).

OTHER INFORMATION YOU MAY NEED TO KNOW

  • Our DHL Building is located at BUD International Airport.
  • We work from 8:00 to 17:00, with 1 hour lunch break.
  • As an agent working closely with stations located in other European countries, you may be required to work on Hungarian national holidays – for which you will be compensated in accordance with the Hungarian Labor Code.
