Position Highlights

As a PRN Laborist, you'll provide hospital-based obstetric coverage on an as-needed basis, helping support our Women's Health program while maintaining scheduling flexibility.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive hospital-based obstetric care, including labor management and delivery coverage
  • Evaluate, diagnose, and manage obstetric patients in a high-acuity inpatient setting
  • Collaborate closely with physicians, Certified Nurse Midwives, nursing staff, anesthesiologists, pediatricians, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Perform emergency obstetric procedures as clinically indicated
  • Deliver high-quality, evidence-based, patient-centered care
  • Promote a culture of safety, teamwork, and clinical excellence

Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology
  • Eligible for unrestricted Maryland medical licensure
  • Strong interest in hospital-based obstetric practice
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to evidence-based, patient-centered care
  • Experience collaborating with Certified Nurse Midwives is preferred

Compensation

  • Competitive PRN compensation: $150/hour (Traditional Laborist)
  • Paid malpractice coverage
