Job Description

This is an open pool posting and applicants will be contacted only if a suitable position becomes available. Pool may be used to fill vacancies for the Fall 2026 - Summer 2027. This pool expires 05/31/2027. Applicants wishing to remain in this pool past 05/31/2027, must reapply at that time. Position Summary: Temporary, part-time adjunct faculty in the Department of Anthropology. Face-to-face and online teaching opportunities may be available in Anthropology. Apply to this hiring pool to be considered for opportunities that may come available. Minimum Qualifications: Master’s degree or equivalent in Anthropology or at least 18 graduate course hours in Anthropology, or an MA in a related discipline with experience conducting Anthropological research and/or at least two years of work experience directly related to the Anthropological courses they will teach. Commitment to quality instruction at the college level is essential. Preferred Qualifications: Doctorate in a discipline appropriate to the one in which the candidate wishes to teach. Past record of successful college-level teaching experience in the discipline of employment. For online teaching, one or more semesters’ worth of online teaching experience. Experience using the Canvas platform and with courses that have received Quality Matters approval is advantageous.
