ICAP, part of TP ICAP group, provides a wide variety of execution and information services to wholesale market participants.

We offer broking services covering a wide range of asset classes, including Commodities, Credit, Equities, FX, Money Market Funds and Rates.

For each asset class, ICAP offers e-trading capability, giving clients the option to enter prices and execute trades directly via one of our hybrid electronic trading systems, or to engage with brokers who can identify and negotiate trades.

Role Overview

This Junior Broker role sits on the U.S. Inflation desk, supporting the execution and broking of inflation-linked products within the Rates business. The desk focuses on instruments such as U.S. TIPS, inflation swaps, and breakeven trades, working closely with institutional clients to provide liquidity, pricing, and market insight.

Role Responsibilities

  • Actively support brokers in executing trades and managing client orders, with growing autonomy and judgment.

  • Maintain accurate trade records and ensure timely input into trading systems, adhering to compliance standards.

  • Resolve trade discrepancies and client queries efficiently, demonstrating ownership and professionalism.

  • Monitor market developments and news to identify trade opportunities and contribute strategic insights to the desk.

  • Deliver live quotes and trade details to brokers and traders, with increasing confidence in pricing and product knowledge.

  • Begin developing direct client relationships through calls, meetings, and consistent follow-ups to understand their trading needs.

  • Assist in onboarding new clients and contribute to expanding business with existing accounts in coordination with the Client On-Boarding team.

  • Reconcile broker commissions and maintain the commission allocation report with attention to detail.

  • Stay current on traded products, new instruments, and evolving market procedures to support informed broking.

  • Represent TP ICAP professionally in all client and internal interactions, contributing to the firm’s reputation and commercial success.

Experience / Competences

Essential

  • Strong proficiency in mathematics and analytical thinking, with growing confidence in applying market knowledge.

  • Demonstrated interest in financial markets and trading, with a proactive approach to learning and development.

  • Professional communication skills and ability to build and maintain client relationships.

  • Reliable under pressure, with initiative in resolving trade-related issues and supporting trade execution.

  • Team-oriented, collaborative, and able to contribute meaningfully to desk-wide projects.

  • High level of integrity, diligence, and alignment with TP ICAP’s values and conduct standards.

Desired

  • 2-3 years of professional work experience, ideally within the financial markets.

  • Working knowledge of financial markets, trading instruments, and economic trends.

  • Commercial awareness and ability to identify potential trade opportunities.

  • Confidence in client-facing interactions and a growing ability to understand client needs.

  • Enthusiasm for continuous improvement and contributing to business development.
