The Café Retail Sales Attendant is a seasonal part-time or full-time position in the Inn Café at the Inn at Bay Harbor. The primary focus of the café retail sales attendant is to organize, supply, and craft a beautiful retail space.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve hot or cold beverages, such as coffee, espresso drinks, blended coffees, or teas.
- Clean or sanitize work areas, utensils, and equipment.
- Check temperatures of freezers, refrigerators, or heating equipment to ensure proper functioning.
- Describe menu items to customers or suggest products that might appeal to them.
- Order, receive, or stock supplies or retail products.
- Provide customers with product details, such as coffee blend or preparation descriptions.
- Receive and process customer payments.
- Serve prepared foods, such as muffins, biscotti, or bagels.
- Stock customer service stations with paper products or beverage preparation items.
- Take out garbage.
- Create signs to advertise store products or events.
- Prepare or serve menu items, such as sandwiches or salads.
- Set up or restock product displays.
- High quality service and attention to retail, sales, and service.
Qualifications
- Must work well under pressure.
- Prior guest service and money handling experience preferred.
- Applicants must be at least 18 years old and be available to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
