Position Overview:

The Asst Manager – Ops Analytics (DP) will be responsible for driving shipment lifecycle visibility, operational analytics, delivery performance monitoring, and exception reduction across the network. The role will focus on improving shipment closure timelines, reducing operational penalties, identifying performance gaps, and strengthening customer delivery experience through data-driven insights and process governance.

The incumbent will work closely with Operations, Customer Service, Network, and Business teams to improve operational KPIs, enhance tracking accuracy, and drive continuous improvement initiatives across delivery and return operations.

Job Purpose:

To strengthen operational efficiency and shipment lifecycle governance through analytics-driven monitoring, exception management, and performance optimization, thereby improving delivery timelines, reducing penalties, minimizing shipment exceptions, and enhancing customer experience.

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

Shipment Lifecycle Monitoring & Closure

• Monitor end-to-end shipment lifecycle and ensure timely closure of shipments within defined timelines.
• Identify delays and operational bottlenecks impacting shipment closure and take corrective actions.
• Drive initiatives to reduce penalties arising from delayed shipment lifecycle completion.
• Ensure visibility and tracking accuracy across shipment movement stages.
• Collaborate with operations teams to improve shipment status compliance and closure discipline.

Exception Management & Network Performance

• Analyze shipment exceptions including No Info, Missing Status, and Lost shipments across the network.
• Identify recurring operational gaps leading to shipment exceptions and recommend corrective measures.
• Drive reduction in lost shipments and improve exception resolution turnaround time.
• Monitor operational adherence to scanning and status update processes.
• Publish regular exception dashboards and escalation reports for leadership review.

Delivery & RTO Performance Analytics

• Track delivery and Return to Origin (RTO) performance across regions, hubs, and key customer accounts.
• Identify trends impacting delivery success rates and RTO efficiency.
• Conduct root-cause analysis for service failures, delays, and delivery performance gaps.
• Support operations teams in improving delivery timelines and reducing failed delivery attempts.
• Drive operational reviews to improve network productivity and service quality.

BFSI & Key Customer Performance Analysis

• Monitor EDD performance and operational SLAs for BFSI and strategic customer accounts.
• Identify customer-specific operational gaps and recommend process improvement initiatives.
• Conduct periodic performance reviews for key customers and support service recovery actions.
• Analyze customer complaints, service deviations, and operational trends impacting customer experience.
• Work with Business and Customer Service teams to improve customer performance metrics.

Analytics, Reporting & Governance

• Develop operational dashboards, MIS reports, and analytics models for performance visibility.
• Use data analytics to identify operational trends, process gaps, and improvement opportunities.
• Ensure timely reporting of operational KPIs and governance metrics to management.
• Drive data accuracy, reporting discipline, and operational governance standards.
• Support automation and digital analytics initiatives to improve operational efficiency.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Partner with Operations, Customer Service, IT, and Commercial teams for process alignment and issue resolution.
• Support network optimization and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure operational insights are translated into actionable improvement plans.
• Collaborate with technology teams for reporting enhancements and system-driven visibility improvements.

Qualifications & Experience:

Education:

• Graduate in Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, Operations, Business Analytics, or related discipline preferred.
• Postgraduate qualification in Analytics or Operations Management will be an added advantage.

Experience:

• 4–5 years of experience in operations analytics, logistics analytics, network performance monitoring, or supply chain analytics.
• Strong analytical and reporting experience within logistics, express distribution, eCommerce, or operations environments preferred.
• Experience in shipment lifecycle management, exception analysis, and operational performance reporting.
• Exposure to dashboarding tools, MIS reporting, and operational KPI management preferred.
