We’re searching for a Business Development Executive, Life Insurance. Are you searching for new possibilities?
Westland Insurance Group has an exciting opportunity for a Business Development Executive, Life Insurance. You will be responsible for identifying, developing, and securing new life insurance business opportunities, as well as key person insurance solutions. Your primary focus will be on promoting and selling life insurance and risk protection solutions to individuals and organizations across Western Canada. This Calgary-based role requires a strategic mindset, strong relationship building skills, and a passion for growth and winning new cases.
You will collaborate closely with internal teams and external partners to deliver tailored life insurance solutions that meet client needs and support Westland’s expansion goals.

Why we’ll love You:
Approximately 5 years of experience in life insurance sales and service
Experience with key person insurance considered a strong asset
Demonstrated success winning new life insurance business
Strong understanding of life insurance products and solutions
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
Life licensed (LLQP) in home province with willingness to expand licensing
Comfortable presenting in person and virtually
Once here, you'll:
Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the life insurance market
Build and manage a strong pipeline of prospects through CRM systems
Conduct discovery meetings to understand client needs and insurance requirements
Generate quotes and present life insurance solutions to prospective clients
Collaborate with marketing and leadership teams to support sales strategies
Support onboarding and placement of life insurance policies
Maintain strong relationships with carriers and MGAs
Educate corporate clients on the value of key person insurance
