Engineering / Installation Technicians & Licensed Electricians

ASRC Federal System Solutions is seeking Engineering / Installation Technicians and Licensed Electricians to support the FAA’s Radar System Replacement (RSR) program — the largest and most significant radar modernization effort within the National Airspace System (NAS).
This is an exciting opportunity to work hands-on with advanced radar and surveillance technology that supports the safety and efficiency of air travel across the country. Team members will support the installation, integration, power distribution, grounding, testing, and startup of mission-critical radar systems at FAA facilities nationwide.

Open Positions
Junior Installation Technicians – HS diploma with 0–2 years of experience
Intermediate Installation Technicians – HS diploma with 3+ years of experience
Licensed Electricians / Installation Technicians – HS diploma with 3+ years of experience and active electrician certification
Summary
These roles are critical to the successful installation and activation of cooperative, non-cooperative, and integrated radar and surveillance systems throughout the National Airspace System (NAS). Team members will support radar room equipment installation, antennas, power systems, grounding and earthing systems, cabling, surge protection devices (SPDs), and installation acceptance testing (IAT).
Working alongside engineers, construction managers, FAA personnel, and customer representatives, technicians will help modernize FAA infrastructure in fast-paced operational environments across the country.
Responsibilities
Perform field installation and integration activities for radar and surveillance systems, including ADS-B technologies
Install radar room equipment, racks, antennas, cabling, grounding systems, power distribution equipment, and associated infrastructure
Install, terminate, and test power and structured cabling in accordance with approved designs and electrical codes
Support logistics, equipment staging, mobilization, and deployment activities
Coordinate with engineers, construction management, FAA personnel, and installation teams to support site readiness and deployment schedules
Support installation acceptance testing (IAT), system startup, and power verification activities
Troubleshoot and resolve installation and electrical issues encountered during field activities
Prepare installation documentation, reports, photographic records, and as-built information
Ensure all work is performed in compliance with safety, security, quality, and FAA operational requirements
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent technical training
Experience supporting field installation of electronic, communications, radar, electrical, or other complex technical systems
Hands-on experience with equipment installation, rack mounting, structured cabling, grounding systems, and power distribution
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams, and installation documentation
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Ability to travel nationwide and work extended hours as needed
Physical ability to perform field work, including climbing, lifting, and working in confined spaces or at heights
US Citizenship required to successfully complete a government investigation
Additional Requirement for Licensed Electrician Positions
Active electrician certification/license (state or jurisdictional) required
Experience with commercial or industrial electrical installations, grounding, bonding, and surge protection systems preferred
Preferred Qualifications
Experience supporting FAA programs, NAS infrastructure, radar systems, or air traffic management systems
Experience with ADS-B, PSR, MSSR, or similar surveillance technologies
Familiarity with grounding systems, lightning protection, SPDs, and mission-critical power systems
OSHA safety certification, tower climbing certification, or equivalent field safety credentials
Experience supporting multi-site deployment programs and installation acceptance testing (IAT)
