Research Assistant - 12 month fixed term contract - Genetic Toxicology

Labcorp is seeking a Research Assistant -  12 month fixed term contract to join our team at Harrogate, North Yorkshire

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday – 37hrs

Job Responsibilities:

• Maintaining lab cleanliness, supplies and tidiness (cleaning, calibrations, reagent prep and disposal, waste disposal etc.)

• Maintaining laboratory equipment and equipment records within laboratory areas

• Producing laboratory work sheets for standard assays

• Preparation and performance of standard assay(s) in base lab area

• Accurate recording and data checking of study and laboratory raw data

Minimum Qualifications:

• Degree in Biomedical Science, Biology, Chemistry

Additional Job Standards:

• Knowledge and understanding of GLP (Good Laboratory Practice), aseptic techniques and cell culture

• Excellent attention to detail

• Ability to accurately read, record, and communicate information

• Ability to perform mathematical calculations

• Familiarity with standard spreadsheet and word-processing software applications

• Communication, teamwork and interpersonal skills

• This role is a 12 month fixed term contract

The Research Assistant is responsible for performing a range of different in vitro assays.
