About the program

Are you a motivated individual looking to gain practical work experience during your university break? Our Vacation Worker Programme offers the opportunity to experience a professional business environment, develop essential workplace skills, and earn valuable income while applying your academic knowledge in a real-world setting.

As a vacation worker, you will provide support across various business functions while gaining exposure to business operations, teamwork, professional communication, and office administration in a structured corporate environment.

Targeted students

Engineering Fields

Electrical Engineering

Mechanical Engineering

Control and Instrumentation

Industrial Engineering

Computer Engineering

Commercial Fields

Corporate Marketing and Communication Function

Supply Chain Management or Logistics

Finance or Accounting

Information Technology or Information Systems

Minimum Requirements

Currently enrolled at as a second year and above at a tertiary institution. Must be a South African citizen. Minimum average of 65%, Basic computer literacy required, including Microsoft Word and Excel. Availability for the full duration of the vacation period is essential.

Required Skills & Attributes

Candidates should demonstrate good verbal and written communication skills, strong organisational ability, attention to detail, basic Microsoft Office proficiency, problem-solving skills, professionalism, reliability, adaptability, teamwork, and a willingness to learn and grow.
